DID YOU KNOW?
An average adult can shed up to 50,000 dead skin cells every minute.
Sometimes cells don't slough as well as they should, so they end up clogging pores, which leads to Large pores and breakouts. You can do your part to facilitate the shedding of dead skin cells by exfoliating on a regular basis.
Your goal when exfoliating should be leaving your skin feeling softer and looking healthier - not red and irritated.
Tip:
* If you have delicate or sensitive skin, twice a week might be too much and could cause some irritation. I recommend once a week.
* If you live in a warmer climate or your skin is naturally oily, you might have to exfoliate 2 to 3 times a week to accommodate a higher build up of dead skin cells.
Types of Exfoliants:
Chemical
- AHA
- BHA
Physical
- granular scrub (fine grains are best as they gently scrub out pores without leaving tears in the skin)
